Motorola records consistent growth in America

World no. 2 mobile handset manufacturer, Motorola, seems to be ruling the mobile handset market in America. Known for innovation in wireless & broadband communication, Motorola Inc declared 24% hike in the sales in the Q1 of 2006 and also announced that the company has recorded 5% increase from the Q1 in the previous year in America. The company is said to have secured a market share of 22% as of now.
Although Nokia is ranked as number one in the mobile handset market in the world, Motorola appears to be gradually snatching a large portion of the total market share from it. In Latin America, Motorola is dominating the mobile handset market, with 34% of the market share.
