Being one of the fastest growing economies and the second largest populated country, India represents an attractive destination for the power industry. The working age population is increasing at a rapid pace, thereby creating a strong demand for electricity. The rising consumption of energy validates the fact. In the past few years, there has been a splendid growth in the power generation and capacity and with the proper enactment of several policies; the trend is likely to continue in the coming future.
