UAE Attracting Billions in Investment Projects

A recent research report, “UAE Construction Industry Outlook to 2012”, by RNCOS has revealed that over a period of time, the UAE has emerged as the frontrunner in attracting the bulk of the investments in infrastructure industry. The petro dollar, enormous liquidity level, favorable business environment and the government commitment towards the industry has resulted in unusual growth of the UAE infrastructure industry. The growing economic activity in the region and emergence of the UAE as a business hub is further giving boost to already high infrastructure spending in the country.
 
According to a Sr. Research Analyst at RNCOS, “The infrastructure industry of the UAE is witnessing massive activity in the form of rising number of projects from private, public and government organizations. In fact, as compared to any other country in the Gulf, the UAE has the highest number of ongoing projects and at a massive scale. Major projects are being undertaken in tourism, hospitality, retail and healthcare sectors. Growth in tourism and retail industry has led a large number of real estate developers, both local and foreign, to invest in commercial projects to leverage the opportunity.”
 
The research report also revealed that there will hardly be any impact of the global liquidity crunch on the ongoing and planned projects in the country. The UAE will continue to witness massive inflow of investment in infrastructure projects.
