According to a new research report by RNCOS entitled, “India E-Learning Market Outlook to 2022”, the e-learning has gained huge attractiveness in past couple of years due to its attractive benefits and convenience. The major growth drivers of the industry are increasing broadband penetration, increasing e-learning penetration in Indian schools and colleges, increasing demand for online certification and courses and positive government initiatives.

The penetration of e-learning in Indian schools and colleges has been phenomenal. Learning institutions are currently integrating technology into their teaching, administration and research work due to its various advantages. Though, private schools outscore government schools in this aspect, continuous efforts are being devoted to impart e-learning into Indian education system.

More and more private schools in world are switching over to the hybrid model of teaching. This model is expected to be an ideal combination of conventional and online content to make the quality of education match global standards. Software such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) has been adopted by private schools whereas adoption of such software by the government schools is still lacking. ERP software has become crucial for the schools, colleges and students as it helps student in accessing the study material at anytime. It not only helps in accessing the study material but also provides the past records of the student performance, student attendance, student participation etc.

In case of government schools, several private public partnerships have been signed to improve the quality of education through e-learning and to meet the growing demand for digital content and online courses in India. The students who are studying in government schools can easily access such types of software in near future.
