A new research report from RNCOS entitled, Canadian Aerospace Industry Future Outlook, anticipates that the aerospace industry in Canada is likely to witness significant growth in the coming years. Civil aviation segment constitute the major portion of the Canadian Aerospace industry. Even though military applications contribute a smaller share to the country’s aerospace industry, they are very crucial to its development due to their superior competence in fighter jets and helicopter manufacturing. The maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) are the second most important aerospace sub-sector in the country.

As per our findings, the MRO industry has emerged as one of the most potential growth areas in the Aerospace Industry sector. Even in the wake of economic slowdown, MRO sub-sector was not much shaken as aircraft manufacturing and maintenance schedule on existing planes is essential and unavoidable. Aerospace clusters, like Manitoba and Quebec are rapidly positioning themselves as the global MRO hubs. MRO majors have tied up close partnerships with various universities and upgrading the technology to offer competitive and cost-effective product and services to their clients. Moreover, the MRO market is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of around 10% during 2010-2013.

Besides Canada is anticipated to observe growth across all sub-segments of the aerospace market, though aircraft and aircraft parts segment is likely to be the primary driver for the overall market. Further, the sub-segment is quite export-oriented and exports represent a dominating share of the overall industry revenue. Traditionally, the US has been the major export market, however activities from the Middle East and some parts of the Asia-Pacific region are being observed. This trend is expected to prevail in the coming years as well, to position the country as a trusted supplier of aircrafts and parts in these new exports markets.

Our report, Canadian Aerospace Industry Future Outlook, has been authored to evaluate the future growth potentials of aerospace industry and its various segments in Canada. It provides information and statistics on historical, current, and forecasts for all the prominent market segments including, civil and military applications, and product categories, such as aircrafts and parts, MRO, and engine and parts. Most importantly, the report also provides industry forecast based on correlation of past drivers, challenges, and opportunities for expansion. In this way, the report presents a complete and coherent analysis of the Canadian aerospace industry, which will prove decisive for clients.
