Large Consumer Base Encourages the Growth of Indian Coffee Chain Market

India has more than 50% of the population below the age of 25 years, and more than 65% of the population below the age of 65 years, which can be seen as a major growth driver for Indian coffee chain market.
 
Among young population, these coffee houses have become a popular "Hangout Zones", where these youngsters gather, sit, talk, date, read, gossip, discuss on topics, etc. over a cup of coffee. Changing trends in metro and upcoming tier 2 cities, observing that young professionals and students prefers to go outside and sit in coffee houses more often.
 
Another segment of the population includes mature adults, who aged between 35 to 65 years, are also the major contributing segment in the growth of coffee chain industry in India. This section of population includes working class, businessmen, women clubs, writers, etc. On the other hand, a small corporate meeting is one of the factors that bring corporate officials to these café outlets.
 
The physical environment is also an important influence in creating an image that manipulates customer behavior to choose a place. Noticeably, people visit these places to have some memorable experience and furthermore, it’s been observed that there is a direct connection between the physical environment and customer satisfaction. Major factors affecting the choice of consumer are layout accessibility, facility aesthetics, electronic equipments, cleanliness and seating comfort.
