Share |

The overall two-wheeler market in India continues to be under-penetrated, and most of the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) have maintained focus on expanding sales-cum-service outlets, particularly in semi-urban and rural areas. The new research report Two-wheeler Market in Indiaby RNCOS finds that the established dealers help OEMs scale up their networks quickly by setting up satellite dealerships and service facilities in the neighboring smaller towns. The rural market accounts for around 45% of the total two-wheeler sales by volume in India.

The Indian two-wheeler industry has been gaining a significant support from the government in terms of excise duty concessions and tax rebates. Many of these concessions are directed towards encouraging the development and commercialization of electric/hybrid vehicles in the country to cope with the rising environmental issues. The industry, particularly the electric scooter segment, will gain momentum with these efforts.

The report comprehensively analyzed the emerging trends like reviving of scooter segment and increasing demand for executive and premium segment bikes in the Indian two-wheeler market. This will help clients understand the present and future outlook of the two-wheeler market and the developments in the industry. The study also evaluates various government regulations and initiatives which will boost the market growth in India. By providing the clients with cutting-edge market intelligence, the research aims to help them make sound investment decisions.
