As per our research report “Indian Solar Energy Market Outlook 2012”, the number of solar PV cells grew at an exponential growth rate during the last few years. In addition, the number of solar PV modules witnessed a significant increase during these few years. Most of the states are deploying PV power plants and with the implementation of the National Solar Mission, it is expected that the annual PV installed capacity will grow at a CAGR of around 134% during 2009-2013.

India is expected to be one of the world's fastest-growing energy consumers during 2009-2013, trailing only China among the largest emerging-market economies. The energy sector has undergone limited and fitful liberalization and deregulation in the recent years. But, still there are certain problems that our industry is facing. We have identified these under energy indicators section. Future forecast till 2013 has been provided for consumption of energy, electricity, coal, natural gas, petroleum, and refined products. Renewable energy has also been discussed in our report thoroughly.

The industry has witnessed rapid growth during the past few years and is projected to grow further in future. Demand for solar products has been rapidly rising for the recent years, especially in rural areas, and is expected to continue grow substantially during our forecast period (2011-2013). Our research report provides a detailed view on all products under thermal and photovoltaic industry with their future forecasts.

Many states have started promoting solar-based applications by giving incentives and tax savings. States like Gujarat and Rajasthan have formulated transparent and progressive regulatory framework to boost the solar industry. We have conducted an analysis on solar power at the country and at state level with the recent developments that took place in these states. The country’s geographical location, large population, and government support are assisting it to become one of the most rapidly emerging solar energy markets in the world. Our report has discussed all these factors. The report also includes brief information about the key players of industry.
