A new market research report, “Aerospace Industry Forecast to 2013”, recently released by RNCOS says that the aerospace industry in China is flying high despite the ongoing financial crisis, thanks to the Increasing passenger traffic and strong government support.

Recent years have witnessed a substantial increase in the number of air passengers in China. In 2007, China's air passenger traffic soared to 388 Million passenger trips, up 16.80% from the last year. International passenger traffic surged by 17.50% to over 38 Million, while trips on domestic flights jumped by 16.7% to 349 Million. International journeys have become more attractive for Chinese travelers because of Yuan appreciation.

So the country has constructed many new airports and started large-scale operations, and in the process, its air passenger transport network structure has changed dramatically.

The spectacular growth in air travel has fueled a similar boom in civil aircraft sector, with around 4,000 new airplanes will be bought by the China in coming 20 years.

As part of its efforts, the government organized an “Aerospace Trade Show” in November 2008 to promote its growing aviation and aerospace industry.
