According to Frost & Sullivan, the combined size of industrial and commercial security market is one of the largest in Europe along with France and the United Kingdom. Technological developments and increased security threat is fuelling the demand for access control technologies in a host of other sectors.
Security installers widely believe that even though Germany has highly advanced security systems, businesses are highly susceptible to security lapses and infringement.
While the major chunk of the time is spent on installation of new security equipments, repair, maintenance, and replacement of equipments are also given importance for improving product efficiency and reliability.
Access control responded to significant increase of demand with a growth rate of more than 4 % to reach 177 million euros. The share of Hold-up and intrusion detection systems however, saw a decline of 3.2 % or 602 million euros.
