Corporate Sector to Boost Bank Loans in Turkey

According to our report Turkey Banking Sector Forecast to 2012, the banking sector forms a great part of the Turkish financial system in its dynamic economy. Majority of the transactions and activities of money and capital markets are carried out by banks. Turkish banks have significantly intensified their lending activity during the past few years. Further, credit provided to the corporate segment contributes the majority of bank loans. Thus, corporate sector loans are projected to grow at a CAGR of about 16.6% during 2011-2014. Majority of the loans are expected to flow into manufacturing sector in the form of working capital as well as fixed investment loans.
 
Further, our report reveals that, with the increasing role of corporate sector in the Turkish economy and increasing investments mainly into the private corporate sector, there will be ample requirement for business/corporate loans in the country.
