RNCOS has recently released a market research report "European Aluminium Market Analysis" that contains thorough analysis of the aluminum industry current status and market trends. The report has broadly discussed the industry's future prospects in all prominent aluminum producing countries in Europe along with the developments that have taken place in the backdrop of recession.

As per the research report, high production of primary aluminum has helped the aluminum industry in Germany to remain upbeat amid the global economic crisis. In 2008, the primary aluminum production grew around 5.5% while the total aluminum industry registered a phenomenal 10% year-on-year growth. Strong demand from the automobile and packaging sectors has resulted in high aluminum consumption and encouraged major aluminum smelters to increase their production levels. In addition, transport and building & construction sectors were the major aluminum consumers in 2008, accounting for around 60% of total aluminum consumption in the country.

Apart from Germany, other major aluminum producing countries like Russia, Italy, France and the UK have been severely hit by the crisis, said the report. The demand shortfall in domestic as well as export market proved critical for market slowdown. However, we expect a strong recovery of almost all European major aluminum markets by late 2010, with industrial demand coming back on track and rapid infrastructural developments taking place in the Middle Eastern countries.

"The performance of European aluminum industry is highly dependent on various industrial sectors, particularly transportation, construction and packaging.  In fact, growth prospects of these sectors actually decide the aluminum industry performance and the metal demand in the region," said a Research Analyst at RNCOS.

"European Aluminium Market Analysis" provides an exhaustive research and rational analysis of the European aluminum industry and its various segments like primary and secondary aluminum production, and consumption. The report contains information about changing dynamics of the aluminum industry in key European countries, with focus on present and future market trends to provide all around market intelligence to clients.  It also studies forces that have been supporting growth in the aluminum industry along with strategic insight into the functional areas of key players.
