Hepatitis is a chronic disease which is caused due to viral infection in the liver. There are 5 types of hepatitis, namely, hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E. Hepatitis is the inflammation of the liver. This condition can be self-limiting or can progress to fibrosis, cirrhosis or liver cancer. Hepatitis viruses are the most common cause of hepatitis in the world.
