Poland’s medical tourism industry is rapidly growing and giving tough competition to its western counterparts on account of its low cost and high quality services.
Poland has formed a Medical Tourism Chamber of Commerce for clinics providing medical services to the overseas travelers. The President of the Chamber, Artur Gosk, noted that the future of Poland’s medical tourism industry is brilliant, as reported by Polish Market Online.
As per the projections of Polish Foreign Investment Agency, there may be a 10%-20% rise in the number of patients coming from West Europe to Poland to seek health care services. Poland seems to be topping the list of European newcomers as it offers superior medical services at affordable prices. Data from Medical Tourism Chamber of Commerce reveals that Poland has dozens of clinics providing specialized services to foreigners. Moreover, these clinics are contending with the clinics in western countries in terms of cost and quality of services that has tremendously improved over the last decade.
The unique blend of low cost, state-of-the-art equipments, high standard materials and latest techniques are luring the overseas patients towards Poland. Doctors, dentists and surgeons in the country operate the patients in the same way they are operated in western countries. Private sector provides medical services to the tourists by means of medical centers and clinics equipped with all the modern devices.
The Chamber said that it is a high time for promoting the medical tourism of Poland. So far, none of the nation in the EU has emerged as a leader in the field of medical tourism. Poland seems well-poised to acquire that leading position.
According to a Research Analyst at RNCOS, “Proximity of Poland to Germany, Ireland, Norway, Sweden and Britain will be a booster for the growth of Polish medical tourism. Patients from these countries readily use the services of medical tourism and also, Poland is having good transport connectivity with these nations. Moreover, the new EU nations, like Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungry, have started realizing their potential and are looking to challenge the supremacy of leading medical tourism destinations such as Thailand, Malta, Turkey and India.”
