Nokia & Yahoo have declared that Yahoo's! Search would be incorporated in Nokia's mobile handsets.
Yahoo search would from now onwards be a vital part of 'Nokia's Mobile search' for software application of Nokia's S60 mobile devices and their Nseries computers. With this, Nokia may be capable to give Yahoo search results for Internet & images in more than 10 languages. This characteristic would support Nokia's broad range of devices allowing consumers to get reliable access to content on the Internet.
"Nokia is exceptionally focused on giving the user of the multimedia the easiest way to search the Internet and locate what they want to when they are on the hunt, for example facts, restaurants, images, and addresses. Yahoo's confirmed proficiency in search with Nokia's acceptance of mobile-consumer-interface, makes Nokia Mobile Search know-how unrivalled in the mobile business," according to Ralph Eric Kunz of Nokia in his statement published by Prdomain.
Nokia & Yahoo had been together ever since April 2005, to offer better Internet accessibility on mobile devices of Nokia.
"Having Yahoo's search on Nokia handsets is a useful idea as it would give more ways in which Internet is accessed on mobile devices by showing real-time web and image search results. However, a high increase in Nokia's market domain cannot be estimated due to this, as individuals are not going to purchase Nokia mobile phones just because they have Yahoo search on their handsets," say analysts at RNCOS.
Christian Lindholm of Yahoo Search said that, "Yahoo is eager to continue strong cooperation with Nokia and find new and innovative ways to combine mobile search in the Nokia S60 mobile sets and the Nseries multimedia computers. Working in collaboration with Nokia will eventually enable us to provide a convincing mobile search results to millions of customers."
