Jun 24, 2007

'Dead rising', introduced by Capcom's for the Microsoft a popular game is making great benefit for retail industry of USA.

'Dead rising', introduced by Capcom's for the Microsoft gaming console, is a popular game worldwide. This game has done well in the retail market with the sales record of more than 500,000 units in just fifteen days after it's launch in US.

Dead Rising is the first game of the Capcom that has been launched for the Microsoft's Xbox 360, and the sales have exceeded far from the expectations. It follows the Frank West's harrowing tale, an extremely passionate freelance photojournalist who is looking for the lifetime-scoop.

Vice president of Capcom's marketing commented on the game's performance "we are getting tremendous response from the press, trade and game lovers. And it results by the recognition of Xbox 360 game's potential and initial development in order to deliver such a successful high-quality game."

The company is planning to launch this game in Europe and Japan on September 8 and 28 respectively. Germany has already banned this game with the reason that German software rating organization, USK, found it too violent to be introduced at all. This is the first Xbox360 game that has been banned in any country. However, it is still breaking retail sales' records in the US.

Generally, software developers used the different content for different countries on the basis of rating analysis. However, it's not that easy in the case of Dead Rising as the game is fully focused on slash and hack game.
